Ravich Is Sought-After Expert on Drones and the Law

DroneAssistant Professor Timothy Ravich continues to be a sought-after expert on drones and the law. This summer he made presentations or gave interviews locally, nationally and internationally.

Fox 35 reporter Dana Jay visited UCF in July to interview Ravich about Florida's new "drone law" (Freedom from Unwarranted Surveillance Act), which went into effect July 1. View her July 31 report

Shortly thereafter he traveled to Chicago, where he was an invited showcase speaker at the the American Bar Association's Annual Summit, held July 30 to Aug. 1. He spoke as a panel member during a presentation titled "Drones Incoming! Are You Ready for Unmanned Vehicles (UAVs)?," offered by the ABA's Section on Science and Technology. (See

Ravich is an attorney and pilot who has written extensively on drones. He is the author of a comprehenisve treatise on "drone law" to be published by the ABA. Currently, he is surveying the regulatory environment in every region of the world, from Asia to Europe to the Middle East to Australia.
