2016-17 M.S.-URP Studio: Planning a Healthy Casselberry

The City of Casselberry has partnered with graduate students in the urban and regional program at UCF to develop a "Healthy Community Element" for the city's comprehensive community plan. Students will conduct an analysis of alternative transportation networks, neighborhood connectivity and accessibility to parks and recreation facilities, the availability and accessibility to fresh foods, and other features of the community that provide opportunities for residents to live a healthy lifestyle. The final report will provide creative solutions the city may consider adopting to improve health for all residents.

An important process for developing the plan is soliciting input from residents of the city. Below you will find a link to a web survey. The information collected through this survey will be used to develop recommendations for making Casselberry a healthy city.

The hallmark of our work is our strong community engagement.
