Disaster Resiliency and Sustainability Workshop Program
March 29, 2012
University of Central Florida FAIRWINDS Alumni Center
The economic, environmental, and social impacts of natural events can be staggering. Although communities cannot control when and the manner in which a natural hazard occurs, communities can improve their resiliency to such events. With support from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), a team of researchers at the University of Central Florida is organizing a workshop on disaster resiliency and sustainability. The workshop will investigate how communities, particularly rural communities, can become more resilient to natural hazards and disasters? Participation to the workshop is invitation based. Please contact professor Kapucu at Kapucu@ucf.edu if interested in participating or have questions about the workshop.
