About this Photo

A surprised Associate Professor Emeritus David Ingram (center) learned at the Communication Disorders Clinic Open House that the clinic had chosen to name its Voice Care Center after him. The David B. Ingram Voice Care Center was among several facilities to be formally unveiled at the Jan. 20 event, held at the Research Pavilion in the Central Florida Research Park in Orlando.

Ingram was one the first faculty members in the Department of Communicative Disorders and served on the faculty for 28 years. He is credited with starting the voice care facility, one of the first in the state, in partnership with local medical doctors. He retired from UCF in 2002.

Pictured with Ingram above are (left to right) Assistant Professor Bari Ruddy, coordinator of the Voice Care Center; Dr. Jeffrey Lehman, medical director of the center; and Clinic Director Charlotte Harvey.

For further information about the Voice Care Center, see the Communication Disorders Clinic.
