HCI Student Receives $5,000 Scholarship from South Florida HIMSS

The South Florida Chapter of the Healthcare
Information and Management Systems Society has awarded health care
informatics student Han Le with a $5,000 scholarship.
According to the South Florida
HIMSS website, the scholarship is awarded to students who
demonstrate academic excellence and show great leadership potential
in the field of health informatics.
As the scholarship recipient, Le was honored at the 2017 HIMSS
Awards Gala, which took place during the annual HIMSS conference in
Orlando this past month.
"Attending the Award Gala and [meeting] with professionals in
the field gave me a brand new perspective about health care and
health IT," Han said. "It was really exciting and it was almost
like fuel added to my burning desire to contribute, to innovate and
to make health care better."
Le also said that she is honored and humbled to receive this
scholarship, and is blessed to receive support from her professors
