    Congratulations to Assistant Professors Meghan Gabriel and Danielle Atkins, whose abstract, "The Role of Health Information Technology in Adverse Effects Among Patients with Diabetes: Evidence from the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey," has been accepted for poster presentation at the 2017 AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting. The event will take place in New Orleans at the end of June. 

    Gabriel also had a second abstract, "Biometric Technology and Two-Factor Aythentication for Security Capability Among U.S. Hospitals," accepted for poster presentation at the AcademyHealth Annual Research Meeting. This abstract was co-authored by Pamela Wisniewski from the UCF College of Engineering and Computer Science.

    The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality is highlighting a recently published article by Assistant Professor Meghan Gabriel in one of its upcoming newsletters. The article, " E=Prescribing and Adverse Drug Events: An Observational Study of the Medicare Part D Population With Diabetes," which has been accepted for publication by Medical Care. The article was co-authored by Christopher Powers of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in Baltimore, Maryland; William Encinosa of the Agency fro Healthcare Research and Quality in Rockville, Maryland; and Julie P.W. Bynum of the Geisel School of Medicine in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
