Orientation, Advising and Registration

Program Level
B.S. in Health Informatics and Information Management - Following orientation by the Undergraduate Student Services (see "College Level " below), HIIM faculty members meet with prospective students. In addition, each HIIM student meets with an HIM faculty member every semester for academic advisement.

B.S. in Health Services Administration - Please contact the program coordinator for more information.

College Level
The College of Health and Public Affairs' Undergraduate Student Services office, located in Health and Public Affairs II, Suite 115, hosts a series of college orientations aimed at providing students with specific information they will need to successfully complete a degree program in the college. These orientations are held throughout the year in conjunction with general UCF orientations (see "University Level" below). During the college orientations, students will receive academic advisement and will register for classes. For specific information, visit Undergraduate Student Services online or contact the office directly at 407-823-0010.

University Level
There are several different UCF orientations available for students depending on the program they are beginning. Initially, all students are required by the university to attend a general UCF orientation. These orientations are tailored to the status of the student, such as freshman or transfer student, and they aim to help students transition to the university. These sessions provide valuable information on such important topics as class schedules, immunization requirements, financial aid and student services.
