Health Care Risk Management Licensure Overview
Being prepared to manage risks isn't an option in the field of
health care, it's a necessity.
The State of Florida requires that health care facilities
providing inpatient treatment, surgical services and
complex medical care employ a licensed health care risk manager. To
meet this need, the College of Health and Public Affairs and UCF
Continuing Education provide the Health Care Risk Management
Licensure for health care professionals.
The 12-module course may be completed entirely online and
students will be able to complete it at their own pace. The modules
are taught by respected academics and experienced practitioners,
and include lectures, case studies, videos and activities. Students
who complete the course will receive a certificate and will be
prepared to take the risk manager licensure exam.
The Health Care Risk Management Licensure has been offered at
UCF for more than 25 years and is approved by the Agency for Health
Care Administration of the State of Florida.

— Daniel Barr,
“UCF was one of only a few programs nationwide that offered the course work and modality that met my needs. It is definitely a different way of learning, but I find the online modality truly a rewarding and unique experience for learning and collaboration.”
