Judy Gizinski earned two degrees from UCF: a Bachelor of Science in Medical Records Administration in 1979 and a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) in 1985.

This article about alumna Dwan Thomas-Flowers (B.S., Medical Record Administration, '91; RHIA) was published in AHIMA Advantage 12:5. Thomas-Flowers is the unit manager of patient financial services at the Mayo Clinic and an adjunct professor at Florida Community College, both in Jacksonville. She is also president of the Florida Health Information Management Association for 2008-2009.

Outstanding Student Graduates in May 2008
The 2008 Outstanding Student in Health Information Management, Julie Ball, (Health Information Management, '08) earned her bachelor's degree while working full-time for Health First in Brevard County, Florida. She represents a growing number of individuals working in health information management departments who come to realize the importance of credentials in the field.
