Admission & Application

Undergraduate Students

You must apply online (www.admissions.sdes.ucf.edu) for admission to the university as an undergraduate student.

Program in Athletic Training

The Program in Athletic Training is a limited-access program. Therefore, you must submit a separate application to the Program in Athletic Training along with all required supporting documentation no later than March 1st of the year in which you seek admission to the program.

 

Doctorate in Physical Therapy

Submit an online graduate application (specifying the Program in Physical Therapy) to the UCF College of Graduate Studies by the appropriate deadline listed in the catalog (www.graduatecatalog.ucf.edu). Also include the following documents:

 

  • Official GRE score taken within the last five years (institution code 5233)
  • A minimum of 30 hours of volunteer or work experience under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist (a variety of clinical settings is recommended)
  • One (1) official transcript (in a sealed envelope) from each college/university attended
  • Resume
  • Biographical essay indicating interest in the program, exposure to the field of physical therapy, and professional goals
  • Three (3) letters of recommendation, including one from a physical therapist
  • A minimum TOEFL score of 220 (International students only)

Admission:

Admission to the university does not guarantee admission to the Program in Physical Therapy. Admission to the program is highly competitive. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee an applicant an interview or admission to the program.

Summer 2012 Application Process:

The UCF Doctor of Physical Therapy program is now accepting applications for the summer 2012 semester. Applications will be processed as they are received from the College of Graduate Studies. Please remember a few things to remember when applying:

 

  • ALL application materials to the DPT program MUST be uploaded with the online application (www.graduate.ucf.edu/gradonlineapp/) or sent directly to the College of Graduate Studies at the following address:

  • Questions regarding the online application process or the submission of application materials should be directed to the College of Graduate Studies at (407) 823-2766.
  • The program will accept scores from the new and old versions of the GRE taken within the last five years, but scores must be received by the College of Graduate Studies by the December 15th deadline (Institution code 5233).

  • Please refer to our Frequently Asked Questions for answers to the most commonly asked questions regarding the Physical Therapy program.
  • The DPT program has made available the Volunteer/Work Experience Form which can be used to log observation hours required by the program. It is not required that this form be used, and we will accept other formats of documentation so long as the hours observed are included along with the license and signature of the supervising physical therapist. All supporting documentation, including this form if used, must be submitted to UCF Graduate Admissions along with your application.
