Scholars in Residence Program
Research and Professional Development at Schools Offering
Programs in Language and Literacy
Doctoral students in the Scholars in Residence Program work at
partner schools 20 hours a week to help children and adolescents
who struggle with language and literacy. They implement
evidence-based practices, conduct research and provide professional
development activities. In addition, some supervise UCF master's
degree students in communication sciences and disorders who deliver
NSSLHA gives me the opportunity to connect with young professionals who share a similar passion as well as volunteer in our community to promote awareness about disorders and the role of a speech-language pathologist.
