Potter Discusses Criminal Justice, Mental Health in Psychiatric News

Roberto Hugh PotterPsychiatric News, the newspaper of the American Psychiatric Association, recently interviewed Professor Roberto Hugh Potter (right) for an article on issues surrounding the incarceration of individuals with mental illness. 

The resulting article begins with a quote from Potter: "Why do we use the criminal justice system rather than other social institutions like the health system to deal with mental illness and substance abuse?"
