Opportunities for the Community

The Center for Community Partnerships can help community organizations with:

  • access to the knowledge, training, experience and volunteer capacity of the university's faculty and students
  • identification of ongoing community concerns and priority areas
  • help with convening and facilitating university-community collaborations
  • help with developing and implementing strategic community initiatives
  • support for community-based research, evaluation and data analysis using faculty, staff and student expertise
  • easy access to community data through the NEXUS
  • transformation of community data into practical information that can be applied to community initiatives
  • access to a nonpartisan environment where public policy can be discussed and solutions found
  • enhanced public policy planning and decision-making through consensus building and partnership efforts
