Community Schools

The College of Health and Public Affairs has formed a long-term partnership with the Children's Home Society of Florida to establish community schools at Evans High School in Orlando and Friendship Elementary School if Deltona, Fla.

These community schools are being developed using a structure similar to the one developed in New York City by the Children's Aid Society and New York City Department of Education. To learn more about community schools in New York City, watch a video about the schools produced by awarding-winner director George Lucas.
